ECHO U11 PREMIER LEAGUE
PARSONAGE COLTS 0-2 BUCKHURST HILL

What a way to finish the season!  A game that was played in absolutely torrential conditions, but nevertheless a game that was played with pride.

The boys of Parsonage went out to play today with the right attitude.  They knew their league status but they wanted to enjoy their last game of the season.  The starting line up confused alot of the Parsonage supporters, but this did not daunt the boys.  With Chafer and Saunders injured, the team was re-arranged and not one boy on that pitch played their own position.

Frostick played in goal the first half, and what a fantastic job he made of it.  He was called upon many times and proved himself to be infallible.  Evendon, Benmore, Abutoh and Pickett were our solid back four.  With Grigg, Ditkevicius, Ayres and Shayle playing mid-field sending many a good ball through to Okoh and Yexley.  Buckhurst Hill had many clear chances, and some powerful shots at goal but to no avail.  Half time the score stood at a very evenly matched 0-0.

The second half saw a change in keeper, and Ayres took up the challenge.  He too done a commendable job.  Parsonage held off Buckhurst Hill until 10 minutes from the end of play, when a scramble from a corner ball resulted in their first goal.  The second goal followed soon after.

The Parsonage boys fought on bravely and worked together as a true team.  Well done boys on an excellent game.
