PARSONAGE COLTS 0 DODDINGHURST 1
06-09-2006
Both teams showed a willingness to win but it was Doddinghurst who ran out winners. The first half was very even with a few chances for both teams, which were well saved by each keeper. Parsonage went closest to scoring when Jack Clark hit a post.
The 2nd half was again even with Conner Kain making a fine save in the Parsonage goal with the Doddinghurst keeper pulling off two even better one’s. Doddinghurst scored the winning goal half way through the 2nd period when one of their players scored a great goal, dribbling around two Parsonage defenders before finding the back of the net.
A third half was played, where Doddinghurst had a couple of efforts inches wide and Parsonage almost scored when another Jack Clark effort was this time tipped onto the bar by the excellent Doddinghurst keeper. Finished 0.1
A good, physical game, played by two very good sides. A draw would have perhaps been a fair result but fair play to Doddinghurst for putting the ball in the back of the net, which at the end of the day is what its all about.
Good luck to Doddinghurst for this season.
