PARSONAGE COLTS 4 SENRAB A 0
17-09-2006
ECHO LEAGUE MATCH
Parsonage’s busy and often intense Pre-season schedule seems to have worked as another very good performance was put in today. It was never going to be an easy game against a strong Senrab team who battle for everything and are more than capable of winning against the very best.
Jack Lawrence for the 2nd successive week opened the scoring midway through the second half and shortly before half time; James Tevenan scored his first league goal courtesy of a left foot strike from outside the area that flew into the top corner.
The second half saw Senrab push forward in search of getting back into the game only to see the same two players score again to give Parsonage the victory.
Although the score line suggests Parsonage ran out comfortable winners this game was very tight with Senrab having a good deal of possession but not being able to get the better of the Parsonage rearguard of Bessex, Ragon and Grigg. The only real difference between this game and the friendly of two weeks ago was that Parsonage took there chances in front of goal.
We at Parsonage have always been critical of ours teams inability to score goals, compared to the ratio of chances we create. At present our team are looking comfortable in front of goal and for once are taking our chances. Our aim is to now maintain this throughout the season.
Parsonage: Kain, Ragon, Grigg, Clark, Bessex. Lawrence, Tevenan, Meehan, O`Sullivan
