INTERWOOD 2-6 PARSONAGE COLTS

Today saw an excellent start to the season.  Every boy played their part and played it well.  Chafer made some important decisions throughout the game that paid off.  The first goal came on the 8th min from Edobor.  It was Abutoh that next tested the Interwood keeper, who made a magnificent save.  Parsonage's second goal was the result of some professional football.  Abutoh hassled for the ball, won it and passed to Yexley who floated it into the back of the net.  The score at half time stood at 2-0 to Parsonage.

Abutoh was on fire today and he was rewarded with a goal in the 34th min, this being our third.  Interwood replied to this within a couple of minutes with their first goal of the game.  Edobor went on to score Parsonage's 4th goal after making a break and taking on the oppositions defence in the 40th min.  Not satisfied with this Edobor nine mins later scored his hat-trick and took the score to 5-2.  Parsonage finshed off with some mature play which saw Yexley and Mallett set up Edobor to score the 6th goal for Parsonage.

Even though Man of the Match was awarded to Edobor, it was an outstanding team performance by the Parsonage boys.
