ECHO CUP MATCH

In a bid to unsettle the team we always struggle to play against we decided to play the first half with four in midfield and no striker.  Although Parsonage had most of the play chances were few and Cobra defended well.

The 2nd half saw Parsonage revert to the usual 2-3-1 which began to get results.  However just as Parsonage looked as though they would score, a long up field ball to Owen, saw him turn and shoot past the advancing keeper who got his angles wrong and the ball bounced into the empty net.

Cue for Parsonage to throw everything at Cobra, but as usual the Cobra keeper was having a blinder and any shot that was on target was well saved, most notably a James Tevenan effort that saw him somehow tip the ball onto the bar.  Finished 1.0

I cant fought my players today.  They were the better team against a much improved Cobra side who battle for everything.  Frustrating that in two encounters Cobra have had 3 notable efforts in front of goal, scoring twice, resulting in drawing and winning.  That said no complaints from us as its all about scoring goals at the end of the day.

Well done to Cobra for getting another result again us and we hope they go on and win the competition.
