It was the second from last league game of the season, and today's points were crucial to the Parsonage campaign, securing the points today stopped any chance of any other team catching the top two.

Parsonage dominated the first half and was good value for their half time lead, after Jack Clarks superb free kick from the right hand side of the box flew into the top corner giving the Westward goalkeeper no chance.

Parsonage started well and found time and space in midfield with some terrific passing moves but had little to show for their efforts and despite outplaying Westward for the first twenty minutes, Parsonage failed to make the most of their chances.  H.T Westward Boys 0  Parsonage Colts  1

Westward came out in the second half with all guns blazing, the tide was turning Westward`s way and with 30 minutes played, the whole complexion of the game changed and Parsonage were duly punished when a corner which seemed to be bobbling around the six yard box was kneed into the net at very close range. 1-1

Parsonage stepped up a gear and continued to threaten despite not enjoying the bulk of possession and Jack Clark unleashed another stinging shot from some 20-yards which the Westward goalkeeper made a miraculous save. Also Jack Lawrence hit the crossbar but failed to follow through.

Better late than never goes the saying but Parsonage really did leave it late with Oliver Bessex's winner coming just five minutes from time. A run down the right from Jack Lawrence cutting in and pin pointing Oliver Bessex running into the penalty area who buried comfortably from close range to give Parsonage the three vital points.

After today we have extended our unbeaten run to 15 games and the final league game of the season dawns upon us, we will be at home against Buckhurst Hill on the 22nd April 2007, stats show we have not lost a league game at home since 2003 should be a very interesting game.
