would like to thank Woodford C for their sportsmanship throughout the match
This was Parsonage's
second game in the Summer league. It was played in
typical Summer weather!
Parsonage had possession most of the first half and played some mature
football. Our back four consisting of Ayres, Grigg, Okoh
and Shayle, kept a solid defense throughout. The boys
in midfield Mallett, Yexley and Clark provided plenty of through balls to
Saunders, Heinrich-Amenu and Abutoh.
Parsonage's first goal came from a Mallett free kick. However Woodford
replied quickly with a free kick directly in front of goal. Chafer
unfortunately was unable to get a hand to it as it sailed into the top corner
(I blame those big goals!).
Half time saw a 1-1
score.
Again Parsonage dominated the play in the second half. The substitutes were
made Benmore, Edobor, Dickevicius, Pickett and Lindsey quickly established their
positions and settled into the game. Parsonage were
rewarded for their hard work when Mallett scored his second goal of the game.
Well done boys on a professional job, and we all wish you luck in the Tigers
tournament.
