THAN ALL THE REST!
Again today the boys
of Parsonage were the victors. Another tournament we walked away with
the silver ware, and the boys thoroughly deserved it. The Parsonage boys
did us proud, just like they always do. The boys worked well
together as a team. Every boy on that pitch knows what is expected of him
and he delivers to the best of his ability, that’s why we are WINNERS.
Parsonage Colts would like
to thank the following teams for good sportsmanship throughout the day:
Woodford A, Aztec A, Aztec B and Byron.
The games were as follows:
Parsonage 1 Woodford A 1 -
This was the only game that we did not win. Chafer made two superb saves
in the first half. Yexley scored taking us into half time 1-0 up.
Parsonage 1 Bryon 0 - We went into half time 0-0.
Again Yexley headed home the winning goal.
Parsonage 1 Aztec A 0 - Again half time
score stood at 0-0. It was Clarke who scored our goal (may I say you cart
wheel beautifully).
Parsonage 1 Aztec B 0 - A very dubious
decision by the referee saw a Pickett goal disallowed (what a nerve Brad) in
the first half. We went into half time 0-0. Yexley scored early in
the second half.
Parsonage 1 Woodford D 0 -
This was an entertaining match,( no not the
football). Could I let this report go without a mention to the
Woodford manager, of course I couldn't. Let's see now he jumped up
and down, threw all his toys out of the pram, cussed the Ref, abused his boys
and generally made himself look like a real..... Did you not go on that
coaching course Mr Mallet?
The score was 0-0 at half
time, and it was Mallet that scored the winner.
Parsonage finished the
tournament 6 points clear of the runners up.
