ECHO U11 PREMIER LEAGUE

PARSONAGE COLTS  3   UPR A  1

Today saw a game of fine flowing football.  Chafer was called upon early in the first half after a powerful shot from a UPR striker.  It was Mallett who opened Parsonage's scoring with a beautifully sunk free kick, in the 10th minute.  This was followed five minutes later by Edobor who after a breaking run, ghosted the ball into the net, as the UPR defence waited for each other to act.  A good attempt at goal was made on the whistle by Ayres.  Parsonage went into the break 2-0 up.

The second half saw a spirited Yexley, who after having a goal kick delivered to him, ran the length of the pitch only to be denied by the UPR keeper.  Parsonage's third goal came form Ditkevicius.  He cracked the ball from the edge of the box and it went in off the post.  Yexley's attacks were continuous and it seemed that a goal from him was imminent.  However, time got the better of him.

It was Pickett's performance that caught the spectator’s eye today.  His game and drive was consistent throughout the match, and he kept up the pressure along the wing.

A good win Parsonage securing your league status.
