LEAGUE CUP SEMI FINAL

PROSTAR 1 - 2 PARSONAGE COLTS

This was a repeat match from only a couple of weeks ago, which parsonage won comfortably. However, as per most cup games, a different fight is in the hearts of players for a cup match.
The first half saw the Parsonage keeper Chafer perform wonders with a brilliant save at a Prostar attacker's feet. This inspired Parsonage's Abutoh to take a Chafer kick out in his stride only for the Prostar keeper to save when 1 on 1. From a freekick just outside the Prostar box, Yexley was unlucky to see his shot saved again by the Prostar keeper. Some amazing defending by Okoh kept Parsonage in the game. But it was soon after that the prostar keeper kicked out for Edobor to take the ball out to the left and with a magnificant shot, put Parsonage 1 - 0 up. Striaght from the restart Parsonage's attack of Edobor and Abutoh seized on the ball to create a good chance for Abutoh, alas only to shoot wide of the goal. Several good shots on target from Ditkevicius and Edobor were to no avail. Again Prostar split the Parsonage defence for the in form Chafer to save the day. Parsonage led at the break 1 - 0.
The second half started in the same vain, with the Parsonage attack seizing on the Prostar kick off, showing that the chance of a cup final was fully in their minds. A Parsonage short corner led to a pass across goal, dropping at the feet of Abutoh, who gleefully made it 2 - 0 to Parsonage. Another fine save from Chafer was defended well and took the play from end to end. Chafer again performed miracles when 1 on 1 with a Prostar striker, with the resulting ball being crossed from Ditkevicius up to Pickett, who's header only narrowly missed his target. Edobor was unfortunate twice to blast over instead of giving Parsonage some breathing space and on the stroke of full time Prostar cut into the Parsonage middle to score a consolation goal, making the full time score 2 - 1 to Parsonage Colts.
Well done to Prostar for a more sporting game this time round. Well done to man of the match Chafer, who earned his team a cup final showdown with Interwood.
