ECHO U11 PREMIER LEAGUE
Parsonage
Colts 3 Woodford 'A' 1
Parsonage would like to welcome Mark Frostick and his family to our club. Mark made his
debut today for Parsonage against his old club.
Today's match was without doubt a game of two
halves. Woodford set their stall out to defend from the off. This
made for a very slow game from Parsonage's point, by the end of the first half
their enthusiasm was lacking. The score at half time stood 0-0.
Within minutes of the start of the second half,
Woodford had gone 1-0 up. Chafer dangerously took his eye off the ball
and paid the price. This however seemed to be the wake up that Parsonage
needed. Parsonage showed their resilience and picked up the pace.
It was one of Yexley's unstoppable
free kicks that opened the scoring for Parsonage. Woodford keeper managed
to get his finger tips to it but it was too powerful to stop. It was only
three minutes later that Edobor struck from the far
left side of the pitch. A fantastic shot which curved in the air and found the
top corner of the goal. Our third goal came from Abutoh.
Man of the match this week went to Okoh for his outstanding contribution throughout the game.
