PARSONAGE COLTS   2   INTERWOOD A  0

ECHO LEAGUE MATCH

 04-02-2007

It’s always a pressure to play Interwood, as you know from the very start that it will be a tough competitive match and that Interwood always come out and play football.

The first half was played at a high tempo and it was Parsonage who seemed to the hungrier of the two teams winning the 50/50 balls in midfield.  Keith Ragon was magnificent in defence spearheading every Parsonage attack with runs out of defence and accurate through balls into the heart of the Interwood defence.  In a half of few chances for both teams, Parsonage managed to open the scoring following a good save from the Interwood keeper which spun out to the edge of the area, and was turned in by James Tevenan.

The 2nd half was much the same but Interwood were now showing signs of getting back into the match, must noticeably from their centre forward who’s determination and strength meant that O’Sullivan and Ragon had to be at their very best.  Parsonage made sure of the 3 points after Jack Lawrence made it 2 with approx 5 minutes to go.  Parsonage almost added a 3rd right at the end.  Finished 2.0

It was a nice performance from Parsonage today.  The passing was back and some of the moves were refreshing to watch.  Spare a thought for Interwood who have lost 3 boys

since the start of the season and us at Parsonage wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season. Chin up Halil, I hear through the grape vine that with the combination of you’re A & B’s teams you have a top team for 11 aside next season.
