LEAGUE MATCH

Another tough encounter with  Senrab A produced to be an entertaining and nail biting physical game, which the visiting team eventually won the battle.

With Parsonage who struggled to make much of an impression in the early stages , and Senrab who started very quick out of the blocks obviously looking for the early goal, pressed forward and their pressure paid off as a loose ball which came out of a busy penalty area scrap fell to a Senrab player who hit it first time giving the Parsonage goalkeeper no chance. 1-0 Senrab.

Parsonage were stunned for a few minutes from the goal and one of their key defenders and striker were taken off injured,  but responded well and almost levelled twice within five minutes when Meehan, Tevenan, Clark, Cope and Lawrence put some great passing moves together. Parsonages sheer determination flourished late in the half when a great cross was knocked away by the arm of a Senrab defender which gave the referee no alternative but to give a penalty decision.

Jack Clark stepped up to take the penalty and even though the pressure was huge without a second glance picked his spot and blasted the ball into the bottom left hand corner to even up the scoring to 1-1 at half time.
Parsonage came out in the second half, with a mission, and fought strong and hard to resume a pressure spell of passing moves and also some excellent defending by Ragon, and a very sturdy o`sullivan, who put Senrab truly under the cosh with time and time again fantastic first time pin point crosses. Senrab were not finished though as when the pressure stepped up they also up their game. With 10 minutes left on the watch it was end to end stuff, and a ball put through the middle of the Senrab defence saw Bessex clear who turned the goalkeeper and finished well to put Parsonage 1-2 up.

The last 10 minutes really was truly a nail biting affair with both teams still going for goal, balls being scrambled out of both penalty areas, free kicks, a big run through the middle and Clark hitting the post, another penalty decision turned down when Bessex had a one on one with the Senrab goalkeeper, and some last minute potent corners by Senrab, but Parsonage held firm, to take all 3 points.
