Parsonage 0 v 0 Cobra
Echo League: Essex
Played Sun 8 Jan 2006
Parsonage
lost their 100% start the 2005/2006 league campaign as they were held to a
frustrating draw by Cobra. The first 5 minutes were played in the middle of the
park but
thereafter Parsonage began to dominate, which would set the tone for the
remainder of
the match.
Chances for
Parsonage came and went, the best being a one on one with the keeper that
was blasted into his legs (only had to be side footed either side of the keeper)
and an
effort that clipped a post from 3 feet out. Cobra defended well and credit is
given.
This wasn’t a great footballing performance from
Parsonage today, but with so much
possession its disappointing not to have won. From start to finish Jack
Lawrence caused
Cobra all sorts of problems on the right for but every cross he put in was
cleared by
the Cobra defense as they time and time again stepped in front of the static
Parsonage
players to clear the ball (needs to be worked on in training).
Overall a
frustrating day, made even more frustrating by the fact that the Parsonage
striker
who is on trial at Spurs wasn’t even invited to play for them today. How things
may have
been different hey!. Again I say “Taking kids half way through the season is
morally wrong
and shouldn’t be allowed” Parasites!.....
Would I have
accepted 3 points today rather than a win in our ¼ final match against
Lakeview this Sunday?????.................
You bet I would have…………...
