Echo League Cup Final

Well we finally did it.  We today won the only honour that has eluded us by winning the Under 9’s cup final.

The final itself was an open affair with plenty of chances at both ends.  We never played the football we are capable of playing today, which I put down to the kids being extremely nervous.  In fact it was like going back two seasons.  But that said I’m sure Tigers were nervous also and its not easy for the young players, playing to a big crowd with so much at stake.

The match itself was won by a close range Ryan Mallet strike approx 8 minutes into the 2^nd half.

A big well done to, the parents, coaches and especially the boys of Tigers who despite having lost, were extremely sporting at the final whistle and throughout the presentation.
